Ivelin Sardamov Professor of Political Science at the American University of Bulgaria

Gabriel’s help in copy-editing and proofreading a book manuscript on education in the digital age was invaluable. He always had a keen eye for what needed to be fine-tuned or adjusted, and made some very helpful editorial comments. He was always punctual and did a great job keeping me on track with my work. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire him again when needed!

Svetla Baeva Director, Campaigns and Communications Programme at Bulgarian Helsinki Committee

Gabriel was an integral part of the team at the Bulgarian Helsinki Committee, working on a major European project between four countries (Bulgaria, Romania, Poland and Hungary) on children deprived of liberty in Central and Eastern Europe. The project ended with the publishing of an English language book based on the country reports of each participating country. Gabriel was the language editor of the book and managed to keep very tight deadlines. He worked through very heavy, legal text and brought it up to standard and gave us back useful comments and feedback.

Magdalena Rahn National Sales Manager at Bulgarian Master Vintners

I had the pleasure of working with Gabriel for 2 years at The Sofia Echo, Bulgaria’s then-national English-language newspaper and website. Gabriel was a constant encouragement to the team, understanding, patient and dedicated to creating good work. His skills as a writer have brought alive many stories and reports.

Krassimir Kanev Chairperson of the Board Bulgarian Helsinki Committee

I have known Gabriel Hershman personally for five years. I know him as an excellent writer and I very much appreciate both the content of his writing and his writing style. I always find the information he publishes very reliable. My organisation, the Bulgarian Helsinki Committee, has worked with Gabriel on editing a serious scholarly publication in English and we were all impressed with his professionalism and competence.
